What to Expect
Your first appointment at the Weill Cornell Medicine Richard T. Silver Myeloproliferative Neoplasms Center will consist of detailed conversations between you and our physicians about your medical history, family history, level of activity, and hopes for treatment at our center.
We may also perform a number of tests, such as blood work, a bone marrow biopsy, precision medicine, and molecular testing depending on each individual’s diagnosis and needs. Each test or action item will be discussed with you at the initial consultation.
Additional dialogue surrounding when you began to experience issues, who diagnosed you, and what previous workups you’ve had done will also be discussed. These conversations help our team determine the best course of treatment for each individual.
